"Tailored Casual" // A presentation of modern style by Aleks Cvetkovic

In a year that’s turned our daily lives, working patterns and dress codes on their heads, the question of what it means to be ‘well dressed’ today has dominated the press and challenged all quarters of the fashion industry.

So says menswear journalist and founder of Handcut Radio, Aleks Cvetkovic, who we recently collaborated with for The Service’s first exhibition, ‘Savile Row bespoke: Tailored casual’.

With designs from a range of Savile Row tailoring houses and retailers, the exhibition aims to present the Row as a unique destination for those in search of exceptional tailoring that’s smart, yet relaxed – perfectly suited to the modern world.

As Aleks puts it, ‘Savile Row has an extraordinary reputation for timeless formalwear, but the Row’s bespoke tailors offer much more than business suits and occasionwear alone. I believe that Savile Row makes some of the most elegant ‘tailored casual wear’ in the world.

‘From sophisticated separates to bold tweed sports coats and from double-breasted blazers to razor-sharp safari jackets, British bespoke tailoring has never been more dynamic than it is today.’

With pieces on display from a range of brands, expertly styled by Aleks, the exhibition brings yet more panache to The Service’s already stylish interior and hopefully inspires visitors and tailors alike.
